Kim’s mission was to find a pair of shoes that would help her learn to walk again. After trying on a few different VIVOBAREFOOT models – the Dylan organic canvas was the shoe of choice. What a beautiful surprise to see Kim back in store this week - walking in with her Dylans on foot and only one walking support. In what's renound as the worlds toughest trail marathon, competitors set out on the 45km track, surging through waist deep rivers, and scrambling up and down such extreme inclines that competitors are forced to walk much of the 3316 vertical meter deviation. And through it all the one thing I could rely on not to let me down was my "barefoot" shoes, VIVOBAREFOOT- Evo. The premium design and precision construction of the Evo allows the 195g shoe to mould effortlessly to the wearers foot and cling to even the most precarious of footings. The puncture resistant sole certainly saved my feet on numerous occasions across the rough terrain, and while everyone else was squelching and being dragged down by their heavy sodden trail shoes, the Evo's minimalist construction allowed the shoe to drain and dry, and in no time they were performing at 100% again. By the time I made it to the final decent I was surrounded by limping, injured competitors and, although I was exhausted, my body felt great, I hadn't fallen even once, and the shin splints and back pain that had been the bain of my running career were nowhere to be found. I have never run in a greater pair of shoes in my life. VIVOBAREFOOT Evo's have changed my style, my biomechanics, and my outlook on running forever.

A new VIVOBAREFOOT blog

It's Easter holidays - and we are catching up with all our online makeovers.
